What are the different types of truss?
Truss
Truss comes in several profiles; each designed for different load and span requirements. Box truss has four main chords (the long parallel tubes) connected by diagonal bracing, usually on the two vertical faces. It is the most common type for general entertainment rigging because it's strong in all directions and modular, meaning it can be put together like Legos to create many different shapes.
Within these profiles, truss is available in different sizes. 4Wall stocks 12-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch straight sections, plus circle truss in various outer diameters for curved configurations. Larger cross-sections (20" and 24") can span longer distances and support heavier loads between supports.
