What is a laser phosphor hybrid projector?
Projector Basics & Light Sources
A laser phosphor hybrid projector uses both blue and red laser diodes. The blue laser diode shines through a yellow phosphor wheel to create yellow light, which is then filtered to separate blue and green. The red laser diode is introduced after the phosphor wheel, completing the RGB color mix. This design outperforms lamp-based projectors in brightness while delivering superior color reproduction and a much longer lifespan, making it the workhorse of the rental and staging industry.
