Systems Freelancer Admin/Coordinator - Orlando

Location: Systems & Design

We are looking for a Systems - Freelancer Admin/Coordinator in Orlando with industry knowledge and experience in admin, coordination, lighting, carpentry, rigging, and staging to come join the 4Wall Systems team!  

What you will be doing:

Our current project includes permanent installation of theatrical and architectural lighting fixtures in a themed environment.  You will be working at both our warehouse and project construction site.  Our Admin/Coordinator position will be assisting with Quality Control/Quality Assurance, paperwork, timelines, tracking, etc. at both the warehouse and onsite.

What you bring to the table:

Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong work ethic, have regular/mobile access to email for job communication, be able to stand for extended periods of time and be on time.

What you should know:

This position is temporary/freelance-basis.  Hours are not guaranteed at 0-40 hours per week based on project needs.  Pay rate varies based on position and skill level.  A long-term position is available.

Requirements:

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skill. 
  • Efficient at Microsoft Office software.
  • Stage management skills.
  • Must be able to stand, climb and walk for long periods of time/ distance.

Useful skills/experience (NOT required):

  • Experience with basic power/hand tools.
  • Production / Stagehand/ Entertainment experience.
  • Knowledge of hardware, lumber, and steel.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of electricity and electronics.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings and plans.
  • Experience and ability to operate boom lifts and aerial work platforms.
  • Experience with theatrical rigging with knowledge of ropes, knots, slings, and rigging methodology.
  • Training and certification for overhead entertainment rigging.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage data terminations.
  • Understanding of DMX and other control protocols.
  • Experience on construction sites.

Physical Requirements

  • The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, or climb. The employee may be on their feet for the full duration of their shift.  At both of our locations, employee will be working outdoors, catwalks or indoors (non-AC environment).

Availability:

  • Flexible availability is preferred.  Our Warehouse typically works 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.  Our construction site is open 24/7, and can include day, evening, and overnight shifts.  We try to work only Monday-Friday.

Position Location and/or Territory and Travel:

  • This position will be in Orlando, FL, and work in both a warehouse and construction site environment.  There is no compensation for travel.
