VP of Music Production

VP OF MUSIC PRODUCTION

Reports to: Executive VP of Production
Supervises: N/A

General Summary

The VP of Music Production will work with and support the National Production team in building, fostering, and servicing music production opportunities for 4Wall Entertainment both in the US and abroad.  This work will include staying up to date on technology and creating systems and processes that will support and enhance 4Wall’s production services and equipment offerings for concert touring.  The role will also be responsible for maintaining and fostering current and future relationships with Production Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to existing clients to maintain and improve their relationship with the company.
  • Maintain a high level of live event production knowledge, and awareness of production needs in regards to building shows, executing preps, and ensuring on-site success for the production staff.
  • Maintain and operate 4Wall quality standard in all work activities.  Ensure that our high standards are maintained.

Personal Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Executive VP of Production, proactively build strategic business relationships to obtain new and repeat customers. 
  • Identify opportunities for 4Wall to connect with new music opportunities using personal knowledge and expertise of the industry and it's players.  
  • Coordination with customers on complex projects from concept to completion.  
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key customer accounts. 
  • Evaluate solution ideas by considering data, precedents, and input from others, as well as your own personal experience and knowledge.
  • Assist clients in all aspects of creating a quality show, as needed, including equipment choices, review of show files, and works in conjunction with the Senior VP of Production Services for alignment on prep, trucking,and labor services.  
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Team Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a wide and strong internal network with supporting functions to ensure efficient and productive output.
  • Attend and participate in production meetings.
  • Effectively communicate customer needs, competitor activities and other market trends to the various 4Wall Entertainment functional stakeholders.
  • Become an advocate for 4Wall Entertainment and work collaboratively with 4Wall Entertainment team to fulfill identified needs.
  • Encourage and drive a strong sales environment in order to further drive business and excellence within each given market.
  • Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • Senior leadership level experience. 
  • Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems.
  • Working knowledge of entertainment lighting, video, audio, and rigging equipment..
  • Ability to be a self-starter, adapt to rising challenges and own all aspects of a project
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives. 
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise.
  • Must possess excellent training skills.
  • Must have exceptional leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and develop  sales team members. 
  • Must be a strong motivator, with ability to execute strategic direction for the company and influence others in support of the strategy.

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. 

Availability:

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
