Onsite Technical Lighting Lead
ONSITE TECHNICAL LIGHTING LEAD (Contract)

General Summary:
The Onsite Technical Lighting Lead will work under the Project Manager to direct and assist the contractor during installation and start-up of lighting controls and fixtures. This work will be completed during the construction phase of the project. The Onsite Technical Lighting Lead will make sure that essential tasks are completed on time, in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements.
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate per company quality standards in all work activities.
Personal Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite Fabrication, assembly, and Installation Supervision
- Provide email, over the phone and onsite technical support
- Attend shop drawing reviews at Clients chosen location(s)
- Assist in system startup and programming of ETC, Color Kinetics and other Manufacturer’s as needed
- Assist in terminating and troubleshooting low voltage wiring
- Lead Theatrical and Architectural lighting fixture prep, hang and focus efforts
- In-depth troubleshooting of DMX, Network and other lighting control systems
- Coordinate installation of all lighting control gear
- Supervise Show lighting crew during the test and adjust period
- Orchestrate the completion of the site acceptance testing
- Assist the Project Manager during the discovery phase to gather all available data, drawings, and specifications on the project and acquire additional information to properly design, procure and install
- Assist the Project Manager in creating a detailed work plan which identifies resources and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Coordinate design and drawing requirements, work with internal resources to provide submittals per the project schedule
- Prepare and submit daily site reports for all onsite work and other reporting duties
- Assist in the preparation and check out of equipment to be delivered to job sites
- Prepare required installation tools and expendables for jobsite
- Comply with all safety requirements of 4Wall and the client’s site
- Oversee the programming and configuration of all system equipment per specifications
- Assist the Project Manager in creating punch lists, oversee final systems checks
- Assist in client training per contract obligations
- Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:
- Three years of project experience in the construction or entertainment field
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or a similar field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Solid knowledge of electricity and electronics
- In-depth knowledge of DMX, SACN, RDM, and manufacturer-specific lighting networking protocols
- Ability to read and interpret system drawings, electrical schematics, architectural plans, and lighting plots
- ETC Certified commissioning technician experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- ETCP Electricians Certification preferred
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with applicable hardware and software
- Hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
- The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

- Based on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), management has analyzed this position and determined it to be non-exempt
