Payroll Supervisor

General Summary
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing payroll employees and coordinating all payroll processing duties on a weekly basis, conducts necessary audits and checks on payroll to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, corresponding with tax agencies, and provide assistance to both Human Resources and Accounting when necessary.

Organizational Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service through continued communication with internal business partners.
Personal Responsibilities
- Supervise and support payroll staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Support the Payroll Administrators with weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to 500+ employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
- Identify and investigate discrepancies to ensure payroll is accurate
- Partner with Accounting/Finance to ensure proper funding and account balances are maintained
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations
- Communicate actively with HR to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
- Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, etc.
- Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, PTO, other earnings, and all deductions
- Support the Payroll Administrators with regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and system issues in a timely manner
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with retention policies and legal requirements
- Other duties as assigned

- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor
Key Requirements
- 3–5 years of payroll experience, including processing payroll for a multi-state company
- Extensive knowledge of Ceridian
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Prior system conversion experience, a plus
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
