General Summary
The Senior VP of Production Services will primarily be responsible for providing oversight, coordination, supervision, planning, administration, training, and support for all National Production project management, labor, and show staff team members as well as serve as the primary point of contact for National Production for all services related initiatives. In addition, this role is responsible for, in conjunction with the Executive VP of Production and the Senior VP of Production, the planning, developing and executing national live productions.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to existing clients to maintain and improve their relationship with the company
- Maintain a high level of live event logistics coordination knowledge, and awareness of production needs in regards to building shows, executing preps, and ensuring on-site success for the production staff
- Maintain and operate 4Wall quality standard in all work activities. Ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Personal Responsibilities
- In coordination with the Executive VP of Production, proactively build strategic business relationships to obtain new and repeat customers.
- Assist clients in all aspects of creating a quality show, in conjunction with the Senior VP of Production, including equipment choices, review of show files, and alignment on prep, trucking,and labor services.
- Collaborating with the VPs of Services on the National Production team for input and guidance in regards to project management support, labor requirements, training for show staff, SOPS, and safety procedures within their respective disciplines.
- Oversee the Production Recruiter to ensure that alignment with hiring goals for all production show staff. Provide strategic direction and support in sourcing, screening, and selecting top-tier talent. Collaborate with the National Production Sales team and VPs of Services to anticipate workforce needs and implement best practices for attracting and retaining high-performing employees.
- Overseeing Director of Labor and National Labor team members for all planning, scheduling, and managing labor resources to support productions. Ensuring that staffing aligns with production goals while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as a dotted-line leader for location-based Labor Coordinators, offering guidance, support, and accountability. Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and best practices to drive efficiency and compliance across all locations.
- Evaluate solution ideas by considering data, precedents, and input from others, as well as your own personal experience and knowledge.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Team Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and direct National Production team members who are direct reports.
- Actively participate in the interviewing, selection and hiring, training and cross-training, performance management, resolving problems, and recommending discipline and/or termination when appropriate, in coordination with HR, for team members when necessary.
- Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results for direct reports and, as necessary, for indirect reports.
- Ensure that all team members maintain high customer relations.
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture building initiatives
- Ensure that team members have personal growth opportunities and assist with career path goals.
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Senior leadership level experience.
- Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems.
- Working knowledge of entertainment lighting, video, audio, and rigging equipment..
- Ability to be a self-starter, adapt to rising challenges and own all aspects of a project
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
- Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise.
- Must possess excellent training skills.
- Must have exceptional leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Must be a strong motivator, with ability to execute strategic direction for the company and influence others in support of the strategy.
Physical Requirements
- The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
