Payroll Administrator - Labor

General Summary
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all payroll processing duties for temporary/freelance employees on a weekly basis and will provide assistance to Labor Administrators, HR, and Accounting when necessary.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service through continued communication with internal business partners
Personal Responsibilities
- Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments and taxes to 500+ employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies to ensure payroll is accurate
- Partner with Accounting/Finance to ensure proper funding and account balances are maintained
- Communicate actively with HR to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
- Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, etc.
- Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, Sick Time, other earnings, and all deductions
- Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, sick accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor
Key Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience processing payroll for a multi-state company
- Extensive knowledge of payroll systems.
- Proficient at MS Office (especially Excel)
- Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels
- Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work in a fast past, high volume environment
- Prior system conversion experience, a plus
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
