General Summary
The Director of Live Event’s primary role is to manage the activities of the 4Wall audio departments under the leadership of the VP Live Events.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to existing clients to maintain and improve their relationship with the company.
- Oversee the development of SOP, work processes and the training of staff to support those processes effectively.
- Provide technical support for live event projects, including system design, staffing and implementation.
- Maintain and operate 4Wall quality standard in all work activities.
Personal Responsibilities
- Analyze and recommend shop and project staffing
- Manage technical improvements and innovations.
- Provide quote support for Account Executives, as well as provide quotes directly to clients.
- Oversee rental inventory system related to audio assets.
- Coordinate inventory shortages and allocations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all clients, vendors, and 4Wall employees
- Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy. Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any work place hazards or safety concerns
Key Requirements:
- Understanding and knowledge of theatrical audio, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment is required.
- Experience in entertainment audio industry is required.
- Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems is preferred.
- Must be extremely organized and have excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter, adapt to rising challenges and own all aspects of a project
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
