Regional HR Director

General Summary
The Regional HR Director is an integral part of the Human Resources team and is responsible for overseeing the HR department in their assigned region. The Regional HR Director will work closely with the SVP of Human Resources to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organizational strategies and objectives. Oversees the HR function for all locations in the region including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and relations, performance management, and other HR administrative responsibilities. Provides consultation to management and employees.

Organizational Responsibilities
- Be a resources for all employees
- Responds to all inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
Personal Responsibilities
- Oversees the HR Assistants/Admins within the region
- Collaborates with senior leadership at each location on staffing, recruiting, employee relations and retention.
- Managing job requisition process and ensuring all approvals are in place including budgetary impacts.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. Oversees the process including managing applicants from initial submission to closing of the job.
- Oversees that onboarding of all new hires.
- Overseeing strategies to manage employee performance to help achieve organizational objectives and maintain a positive culture.
- Processing changes within HRIS system including pay changes, position changes, etc.
- Handles employee relations issues including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Ensures processing of terminations including termination letters, final check, and other procedures.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with Union representatives on an ongoing basis.
- Keeping SVP of HR abreast of happenings, good, bad, and ugly for locations and coordinating on issues of discrimination, harassment, and terminations
- Assisting with employee engagement initiatives
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Develop and recommend new and improved processes for the Human Resources team.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 2-3 years as a Human Resources Business Partner/Manager
- Ability to make independent decisions quickly and correctly, especially in time-critical situations.
- Familiarity with all employment laws and regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence
- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a calm and professional manner

- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
