INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Project Director -Special Projects/Senior Project Manager
Supervises: N/A

General Summary

The Installation Supervisor will work under the location Project Manager to direct the contractor during installation and start-up of the lighting controls and fixtures. This work will be completed during the construction phase of the project. The Installation Supervisor will make sure that essential tasks are completed on time, in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities. 

Personal Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite Fabrication, assembly, and Installation Supervision
  • Attend shop drawing reviews at owner’s facilities in Abu Dhabi
  • Supervise installation of lighting luminaries with Show Lighting Integration Crew
  • Supervise focus of lighting luminaries with Show Lighting Integration Crew
  • Supervise installation of all lighting control gear
  • Supervise any onsite fixture prep
  • Supervise Show lighting crew during the test and adjust period
  • Supervise the completion of the SAT
  • Assist the Project Manager during the discovery phase to gather all available data, drawings, and specifications on the project and acquire additional information to properly design, procure and install
  • Assist the Project Manager in creating a detailed work plan which identifies resources and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Coordinate design and drawing requirements, work with internal resources to provide submittals per the project schedule
  • Comply with all safety requirements of 4Wall and the client’s site
  • Oversee the programming and configuration of all system equipment per specifications
  • Assist the Project Manager in creating punch lists, oversee final systems checks
  • Assist in client training per the contract
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.

Key Requirements

  • Three years of project experience in the construction or entertainment field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or a similar field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Solid knowledge of electricity and electronics
  • In-depth knowledge of DMX, SACN, RDM, and manufacturer-specific lighting networking protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret system drawings, electrical schematics, architectural plans, and lighting plots
  • ETC Certified commissioning technician preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • ETCP Electricians Certification preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with applicable hardware and software
  • Hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives. 

Availability

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

Position Location and/or Territory and Travel

  • Position will be located in Orlando, FL
  • Position will require travel on occassion
  • Position will be required to work in both an office and a field environment
