General summary
The Benefits/HR Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day benefits administration of all health and benefits plans, 401(k), FMLA and other leaves of absences, and other compliance initiatives. They will also be responsible for assisting the Regional HR Business Partner's and Administrators on other HR needs.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Be a resource and advocate for all employees.
- Responds to all inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, as well as any follow ups.
Personal Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of the employee benefits programs including enrollment, auditing billing statements, ACA compliance, etc.
- Liaise with the Safety Manager for Worker’s Comp claims.
- Administering 401(k) including maintaining records, reporting, and other compliance initiatives.
- Administering FMLA and other leaves of absences per location specific laws and regulations. As well as assisting employees with short term and long term disability claims.
- Completing EEO-1, CA pay data reporting and other compliance related initiatives.
- Keeping VP of HR abreast of happenings, good, bad, and ugly
- Identifying and remedying issues that may be violations of policies, procedures, laws and regulations
- Responding to state unemployment and disability claims.
- Preparing reports and analyzing data as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Actively participate in HR group meetings and initiatives.
- Develop and recommend new and improved processes for the Human Resources team.
- Provide outstanding service at all times, both to internal and external customers

Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Familiarity with all employment laws and regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team

Physical Responsibilities
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
