Inventory Control Manager

INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Office 
Reports to: Operations Manager
Supervises: Inventory Control Associate / Stock Room Clerk

General Summary

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing the inventory control process for their specific location per standard operations procedures and instruction of the Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department, National Asset Manager and General Manager for their specific location.  

Personal Responsibilities

  • Assign barcodes to new inventory. 
  • Conduct and coordinate rental and sales cage physical inventory biannually or as needed.
  • Fix/correct rental and sales inventory discrepancies within Rental Works.
  • Entering re-order points & quantities for sales inventory items.
  • Processing intercompany rental equipment and sales cage inventory transfers within Rental Works.
  • Handle receiving discrepancies and damages.
  • Quality control on new cases to ensure stenciling is correct and up to specifications.
  • Collaborating with designated Brand Book “owner” on new stencil placements. 
  • Handling and processing of RMA's.
  • Maintain full understanding of sales cage operations and, when necessary, may be required to perform related tasks or work directly in the sales cage.
  • All other duties that may be assigned.

Team Responsibilities

  • Maintain high customer relations.
  • Work in a safe manner and report any work place hazards or safety concerns.
  • Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees. 

Key Requirements

  • 3-5 years of inventory control experience.
  • Experience working in entertainment and event lighting, production or similar industries.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to work well with clients and the Company’s employees.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, PPT, Word, and highly familiar utilizing ERP tool in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives. 

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position include regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, kneel, and lift or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. They will work in a temperature-controlled office environment for comfort, where they will primarily sit but may choose to stand and move within their workspace. At other times, the employee will be in a warehouse setting without temperature control, where they may experience variations due to local weather conditions.

Availability

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
