Miami, FL - Last month, the sixth edition of the Rolling Loud Miami music festival kicked off after more than a year and a half at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Hip-hop fans enjoyed high-energy performances by heavyweights Travis Scott, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. 4Wall Entertainment provided the lighting for the Ciroc Stage and Audiomack Stage designed by industry leader Steve Lieberman of SJ Lighting.

SJ Lighting, Inc. is owned and operated by Stephen Lieberman. Lieberman has been working in the lighting and design industry for over 25 years. Rolling Loud has been working with SJ Lighting for its stage designs since 2017.

Rolling Loud 2020 was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  For this year's show, the entire Rolling Loud Miami team had to overcome unprecedented obstacles to ensure the production side of the festival ran as smoothly as possible.

Ciroc Stage

The stage design process started a few months before the August show date. For the Ciroc Stage, the LD leaned on an array of moving lights consisting of Chauvet Professional Maverick MK3 Wash, Martin MAC Viper Performance and Robe MegaPointe fixtures. 4Wall also provided over 200 Chauvet COLORado 1QS IP65-rated LED PARs, over 400 Martin VDO Sceptrons and more. Audiomack Stage

Rolling Loud is a music festival that caters to the hip-hop music genre which allows Lieberman take a completely different design approach than his EDM designs that the entire world is familiar with.

"Doing a hip-hop show compared to a dance music show is totally different," said the LD. " A dance music show is a lot of eye candy and I'm able to deconstruct a stage. For a hip-hop show, some of the artists only perform 2 to 3 songs and we need to give them the largest stage presence in a minimal amount of time. The stage design for a show like this has to have a very clean, usable, strong aesthetic."
