Video Department Lead

Location: Orlando

We are a nationally recognized entertainment lighting company that operated in ten offices in the US - Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, DC, PA, Orange County, Nashville, Houston, Orlando, and Boston. 4Wall has made its mark in the California Desert for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, to the High Roller in Las Vegas, to Saks Fifth Ave in New York City for the 'Land of 1000 Delights' display.

We are looking for a Video Department Lead to come join the 4Wall team!

What you will be doing: While every day is different at 4Wall, you will be responsible for supervising the Video team, providing technical support to customers, working with the sales team to coordinate customer equipment demonstrations, executing all pick lists in a timely manner, checking-in and -out equipment, testing and troubleshooting all equipment functions (this includes, camera video equipment, video projectors, switchers, image processors, screens and frames), the general repair and maintenance of the equipment, as well as maintaining a high level of quality control within the video department. In addition, you must be willing to learn and work in other departments within the Shop, as necessary.

What you bring to the table: Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical/electronics training or experience; basic understanding of electrical principles, rigging/mounting of video/projection equipment, and projection methods and components (converging, edge blending & video signal formats); the ability to troubleshoot and repair video and control systems issues; the ability to execute operational support and technical training for image processors, camera, projectors, screens, and LED tiles; knowledge of how to set up, strike, and operate all gear within the Video department; ability to build video racks and the functions of each component; ability for critical visual detections and color balance; ability to lift 75-100lbs.; and must have (or obtain within 6 months of hire) Barco E2 Event Masters Certification and Barco Certifications for Projection Specialist and Expert Level.

  • This position is located in Orlando, FL
  • In this position, you may be required to work in the evening and on weekends, as needed.
  • Must be available and willing to be on call, as necessary.
  • This position will require travel on occasion
  • This position will not work behind a camera or on editing video content; it does require technical knowledge on repairs and maintenance on projectors and other video equipment
