4Wall Systems Focuses on the Photography of Rodney Lough Jr.

Las Vegas, NV- 4Wall Entertainment recently worked with award-winning master photographer Rodney Lough Jr. to showcase his work at his newest gallery, located inside the new CityCenter Las Vegas.  Lough’s specialty of wilderness and landscape photography is stunningly presented in a gallery themed with real tree trunks and a natural wood floor created from reclaimed barn wood.

The lighting is controlled with an ETC Paradigm dimming system.  The fixtures themselves are a mixture of track lighting, Altman Micro Ellipsoidals, and ETC Source 4 and Source 4 Junior Ellipsoidals.

Brent Pritchett, 4Wall project manager, discussed some of the interesting challenges of the installation.  “It was important that the artwork at the front of the gallery ‘pop’ as much as the pictures mounted further inside the store.  This was easy to do at night, but during the day the ambient light coming through the store front windows would have overwhelmed the track lighting, so the larger ellipsoidals were used at the front of the gallery.”

“Also, IR remotes can be used in the three viewing rooms and throughout the entire gallery to raise and lower light levels so a customer can see the work under different lighting conditions to suit their needs.”

CityCenter Las Vegas is Lough’s fifth gallery.  His other locations include San Francisco and Sausalito in California, Happy Valley, Oregon, and Mall of America in Minnesota.
