4Wall Turns The Palazzo into a LEED-er Amongst Las Vegas Resorts

Las Vegas, NV-Midway through construction of The Palazzo Las Vegas, the owners decided to make the property more than just the latest luxury casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The goal was set to make the sophisticated hotel the largest LEED-certified building in the world, and it was tackled by the 4Wall Systems team and lighting designer Martin Van Koolbergen.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is bestowed by the U.S. Green Building Council. The 4Wall Systems team has long been amongst the industry leaders in green technologies, especially LEDs.   The sheer amount of space that had to be covered in a “green” way boggles the mind.

“The podium- including the casino, retail mall, and public spaces- used 23 dimmer racks” said 4Wall Senior Project Manager Buddy Pope, “that didn’t even include the restaurants, theatre, night clubs, or spa areas!”   4wall was contracted to keep the huge resort’s controllability and maintenance ease high while dealing with the energy management requirements of LEED certification. Using ETC Unison systems and miles of Color Kinetics LEDs, the team accomplished the task of making The Palazzo a green property that meets the gold standard of Las Vegas.
