4Wall Systems Installs Cherry Nightclub at the Red Rock Resort and Casino

Although Red Rock is built away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas strip, there is nothing reserved about its' nightclub, Cherry. This sumptuous nightlife spot features edgy dance beats from the area’s hottest DJs, tasty cocktails, and with its jazzy LED lighting by Color Kinetics - it's easy to see why visitors find this club to be a memorable experience.

Stephen Lieberman, president of SJ Lighting, was tasked to differentiate Cherry from the multitude of clubs on the Vegas strip, and he was up to the challenge. Working with 4Wall Entertainment they created an enticing preferential night club with captivating lighting and scenic effects. The visual centerpiece of the club is a large checkerboard dome comprised of polished metal and truss sections. The custom truss sections exactly match the curvature of the dome and were fabricated in-house by 4Wall. “Every piece was different, so it was like creating 18 prototypes” says James Le Blanc, 4Wall lead fabricator. The patchwork metal is detailed with concentric circles and arches made with iColor® Flex SL (provided by SJ Lighting, Inc.), a LED-based strand that can generate extraordinary effects without the constraints of fixture size, shape or space. Inside the metal panels, over 2,000 iColor Flex SL nodes are hung from a double-bend radial pipe to create spectacular effects when on, but blending into the background when turned off. In addition to the dome truss 4Wall also fabricated 6 mirror finish truss cages to surround the speaker stacks.

The moment patrons enter the club, they are enveloped by a welcoming atmosphere that beckons them inside. Walking through a 40-foot (12 m) mirrored tunnel with scarlet red lighting, club goers get a feeling of warmth as they travel into the heart of the club. The saturated red light is generated by iColor Cove® MX Powercore, a linear LED-based fixture that provides uniform color mixing with maximized output. 160 units of iColor Cove® MX Powercore run parallel along the top and bottom side of the tunnel, which is designed to block out the slot machines and other casino noise. iColor Cove MX Powercore is also found behind the V.I.P. booths surrounding the club, providing exclusive lighting effects for its’ clientele. The V.I.P. booths surrounding the club are also outfitted with iColor Cove MX Powercore, to provide swank lighting for the club’s exclusive clientele.

Cherry’s location already sets it apart from the mainstream, but with its dynamic lighting design it now creates an unforgettable experience for it’s patrons.
